Hoogewerf & Co is a member of The American Chamber of Commerce in Luxembourg (AMCHAM), an international voluntary organization of business and professional persons committed to fostering business relations between the United States and Luxembourg, promoting cross-cultural understanding and enhancing the quality of life of Americans and other expatriates who live and work in the Grand Duchy.
AMCHAM activities cover the full scope of expatriate issues through dedicated committees for Human Resources, Information Technology, Financial Services, Tax, Marketing, Diversity and New Business & Entrepreneurship. These committees organize seminars and after-hour networking events with international speakers in order to address issues relevant to the international business community in Luxembourg.
In 1972 Hoogewerf & Co was a co-founder of the British Business club, a forerunner of the British Chamber of Commerce and later absorbed into the British Chamber. The British Chamber of Commerce for Luxembourg is an English-speaking forum for contact and communication among decision makers, opinion formers and participants in Luxembourg's local and international business communities.
The Chamber’s objectives are to follow and influence developments in the economic and business world in Luxembourg affecting members’ interests, and so contribute to making Luxembourg an attractive place for British business and Britain an attractive place for Luxembourg business, and to promote trade between Britain and Luxembourg.
The Official Spanish Chamber of Commerce in Belgium and Luxembourg is a non-profit association whose main objective is the development of trade and investments between Spain, Belgium and Luxembourg. The Chamber offers to the companies a wide range of services as well as professional contacts in its area business community. Francis Hoogewerf speaks Spanish and has been for some years on the Board of the Spanish Chamber of Commerce in Luxembourg.
The Diplomatic Council (DC) was established as a Global Think Tank with the objective to serve as a bridge between diplomacy, economy and society. Members of the Diplomatic Council believe that economic diplomacy provides a solid foundation for international understanding and a more peaceful interaction amongst nations. The organization carries the Consultative Status with the Economic and Social Council of the United Nations. Our office holds the presidency of the organization in Luxembourg.

The Global Chamber of Commerce for Portuguese Speaking Countries (GCCP) develops its activities in and for the member countries of this community (Angola, Brazil, Cape Verde, Guinea-Bissau, Equatorial-Guinea, Mozambique, Portugal, S. Tome and Prince, East-Timor), and in regions associated with the Portuguese language, namely Macao, in China, and Goa, in India.
Its objectives and areas of activity are, among others, the organization of professional events and trade missions; business advisory services; support in internationalization; advice to public and private organizations and governments; sustainable development; assemble groups or organizations with similar objectives and support the dialogue with official, economic, social and cultural organizations. Hoogewerf & Co is a founding member of this association.
In 1975 Francis Hoogewerf was a founder and committee member of the International Tax Planning Association (ITPA) and remains on the committee. The ITPA is a multi-disciplined association of over 1000 members with a practical interest in the tax aspects of cross-frontier transactions.
In 2005, Francis Hoogewerf was a founder member of the Luxembourg – Russia Business Chamber which is active in developing commercial, economic, scientific, cultural and financial relations between Russia and Luxembourg.
Luxembourg Brazil Business Council association is an inclusive commerce platform dedicated to enhance commercial ties between Luxembourg and Brazil for its members.
Spa Waux-Hall Club aims to bring together talented personalities, men and women of heart, action or achievement, seeking each one at their level a formula of total fulfillment. The limited number of members, the criteria for access to the Club, the statutes, the event concepts and the projects of activities are all elements contributing to make it a circle of influence, but also of networking at both the international and national levels. Our director is a founder and a director in the association.
Romania Luxemburg Business Forum Asbl (ROMLUX), is a Luxembourg based nonprofit organization aimed to support the development of the economic relationships between actors from Romania and Luxembourg. Our office is one of the founding members.
The Law Firm Network, founded over 20 years ago in 1989, is a strong non-exclusive association of independent law firms from around the world whose principal lawyers have close personal and professional relationships. The Network has members in approximately 40 countries and we have an extended global network with quality law firms in over approximately 80 additional countries.
The China-Luxembourg Chamber of Commerce (ChinaLux) was founded in 2013 as a private, non-profit organisation. ChinaLux’s overall goal is to create and maintain a platform that promotes bilateral trade between China and Luxembourg. Our office is a member of this association.

Our office is also one of the cofounders of China Chopsticks Business Group which is a platform dedicated to enhance commercial ties between Luxembourg and China. This organization has the involvement of Rupert Hoogewerf, famous in China for his HNWI ranking magazine.
